Deep in the mountains of Western Colombia, in North Valle de Cauca, lies a town called Salónica. This is where Morning Joint beans are born! Morning Joint sources its coffee beans from a pristine 126-acre farm named Finca Montebello. Our farmers capitalize on the higher elevation, rich soil, and tropical weather conditions of Western Colombia, producing pure coffee with no artificial enhancements. Morning Joint coffee beans are planted alongside plantains, bananas, and colonies of honey-bees for a symbiotic relationship in the coffee plant process.

The owner of Finca Montebello is the Gonzalez Family. Farming runs in their veins as the third generation to cultivate the land. Unfortunately, due to the political environment and drug wars in the 60s and 70s, the Gonzalez’s were forced off their original farm and into the city of Cali. For more than 60 years the family waited to find a piece of land to call home again.

Finally, fifteen years ago, the family had the opportunity to own Finca Montebello. They have since worked tirelessly to cultivate the land to produce the freshest of farm-to-table coffee beans. The Gonzalez’s have built an exceptional team for the farm around their loving family and local farmers. Together Finca Montebello’s 126 acres are pure and thriving.
